Key Findings
- Abandoned cart recovery converted 8.8% to 29.2% of customers reached across 11 brands, and half of recovered orders landed within 14 hours of the message.
- Order confirmation converts very differently in store and online: 8.7% to 11.2% in store across 2 brands, against 2.9% to 10.7% online across 9 brands.
- Order cancellation save flows won back 364 orders from 2,015 customers who had cancelled, with per-brand conversion of 9.8% to 18.5%.
- Back-in-stock alerts converted 13%, from a single brand. Treat it as an early signal.
- Post-purchase feedback converted 0.5% to 5.3%. It is run for reviews and replies, so its revenue is a by-product rather than the point.
Results by Flow
Conversion is orders attributed divided by customers reached, worked out per brand. The range runs from the lowest brand to the highest, so it shows the spread rather than an average.

Post-Purchase Feedback: This flow is run for the reviews and the reply rate, not the revenue. The orders it attributes are a by-product of the thank-you offer.
Back-in-Stock Alerts: early data from a small number of accounts. Treat it as a signal, not a benchmark.
Each flow is counted on its own, so the rows are not meant to add up to the platform totals above.

Flows With No Published Figures
These flows run in production, but they have too few attributed orders to publish. They are listed so the gap is visible, not filled with a borrowed number.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is a good abandoned cart recovery rate on WhatsApp?
- Across 11 MENA brands on Nonito, abandoned cart flows converted between 8.8% to 29.2% of the customers they reached, and half of recovered orders came within 14 hours of the message. Where a brand lands in that range depends on its product, price point and how quickly the first message goes out.
How does Nonito attribute an order to a flow?
- An order is attributed to a flow when the customer received a message from that flow and then placed an order inside the attribution window. Cancelled and voided orders are excluded, and pending and paid orders both count.
Does an order confirmation message drive sales?
- Yes, and where the order is placed matters. In store, order confirmation converted 8.7% to 11.2% across 2 brands. Online it converted 2.9% to 10.7% across 9 brands.
Why are the revenue figures in EGP?
- The attributed orders were placed in Egyptian pounds, so revenue is reported in EGP and is not converted. Across the whole sample, flows were attributed 20.6M EGP.
Why do some flows have no figures?
- A flow is only published once it has enough attributed orders to report honestly. Shipping & Delivery Updates, Refund Recovery, In-store Opt-in, Cross-sell & Recommendations, Referral run in production but are not published yet.
How often is this report updated?
- Monthly. The current figures run to 13 September 2026.
Can I quote these benchmarks?
