Shopify × SMS
Shopify's product restocked event starts a Nonito flow that sends the customer a SMS message, in English or Arabic, and attributes every order that follows. SMS needs no app, no opt-in to a platform and no template approval, and it reaches every phone.
Nonito receives orders, abandoned checkouts, customers, products and collections from Shopify. For this flow it listens for one event and uses a handful of fields from it. Discount codes are created in your Shopify store, one per customer, with the expiry you set.
| From Shopify | What it is for |
|---|---|
Product restockedShopify inventory | The Back in Stock trigger watches your Shopify stock and starts the moment a variant someone asked for is available again. |
| Phone number | Captured by the notify-me field on the sold-out variant. |
| Variant | The exact size or colour they asked about, not just the product. |
| Stock level | So you do not tell a hundred people about three units. |
| Direct variant link | Takes them to the thing they can buy, not the collection page. |
| First name | Optional. The message works without it. Optional. |
Capture the number on a sold-out variant, then text exactly those people the minute it is back.
It is back
The Classic Tote in Sand is back. Yours here: yourstore.com/tote
Low stock reminder
Only a few left in Sand, same link if you still want it: yourstore.com/tote
Use them as they are or rewrite them in your voice. The variables in braces are filled from Shopify at send time.
The {{product_name}} in {{variant}} is back. Yours here: {{variant_link}}One line, the variant named, and a link straight to the thing they can buy. Anything longer dilutes the only message they were waiting for.
Only a few left in {{variant}}, same link if you still want it: {{variant_link}}Only send this when it is true. A false scarcity line on a flow built entirely on trust is an expensive lie.
{{product_name}} رجع تاني بلون {{variant}}. احجزه من هنا: {{variant_link}}Short enough to stay inside one SMS segment in Arabic, which costs twice as many characters per message.
Every message in this flow, with the reasoning behind each one: Back-in-Stock Alerts in the flow library →
1 brand runs back in stock alerts on Nonito. Between October 2025 and September 2026 it produced:
Measured across every store running it on Nonito, not only this platform, with cancelled orders excluded. Your result depends on your product and pricing, so read it as a range, not a forecast.
Sign up, enter your store domain and approve access in Shopify. Orders, checkouts, customers and products start flowing in, and nothing is exported by hand.
Send under your own sender name, set up during onboarding. A registered sender name is what decides whether an SMS arrives at all in most Arab markets.
Arabic SMS fits 70 characters per segment, not 160. Check a message in the Arabic SMS counter →
Yes. Shopify's product restocked event starts the flow, and Nonito sends the SMS message with the customer's details filled in from Shopify. It runs on its own once switched on.
Product restocked. The Back in Stock trigger watches your Shopify stock and starts the moment a variant someone asked for is available again.
Arabic text is encoded differently, so one SMS segment holds 70 characters instead of 160. Keep Arabic messages short or they split into two or three billed segments. The free Arabic SMS counter shows the split before you send.
Yes. A Language node sends Arabic speakers the Arabic template and everyone else the English one, using the language on the Shopify customer record.
It is a one-line message with a link, and it has to go the minute stock lands. SMS needs no template approval standing between the restock and the send.
Set a stock floor so the alert does not fire. Telling a hundred people about three units disappoints ninety-seven of them.
